Yuck Yuck Yuck There are so many things wrong with this I'm not even going to start. See Felipe's rant instead.

I'm sorry is it just me, or does America partake in a huge national holiday every year which celebrates the wanton slaughter, nay genocide, of Native Americans? I believe it's called Thanksgiving, a more innappropriate name would be hard to find.

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with the Stalinist regime's actions during WW2, and with the consequent bigging-up of said regime at the V-day parade, in many ways, It was only a small part of a respectful memorial service to the dead.

Whatever people may think of Stalinism and the USSR, we must understand that they did have a huge part to play in the war and lost an unbelievable amount of soldiers and civilians, (the highest of the Allies), and for that they should be remembered.

The celebration was there to mark the passing of these people, and to honour their memory, whats so wrong with that?
